V3, June 2026
The site has been rebuilt from the ground up. The previous two-column
layout served well, but the content beneath it had drifted across
versions, and the structure no longer matched how I think about the
curriculum. V3 starts from the canonical Bulgarian orthopaedic
syllabus (31 topics in orthopaedics, 33 in traumatology, and 12 in
surgical anatomy), with English translations and the visual language
of a classical academic paper.
The site is currently a shell. Each topic page exists, but none have
been written yet. Content will be added topic by topic over the
coming weeks.

Thank you for using adolf.bg.
Since the last version, 61 people have visited the site 1,221 times
and spent more than five days on it combined (128 hours). That is
far more than I ever expected, and I am grateful to every one of
you.
The usage data, the error logs, and your feedback pointed to a
handful of things, and V2 is built around them:

Summaries are now longer and complete. The feedback form (17
responses) made clear that you would rather have a full summary
than a short one. Each topic is now synthesized from the MD files
of 218 books, with a narrow specialty book behind every topic.

Subchapters are easier to reach. They were hard to get to
directly, so the landing page now has a collapsible registry that
links straight to each one.

The submenus are gone. They added clutter without adding much, so
I removed them.

Dark mode is gone, and the design is simpler for it. Almost no
one used it, so rather than maintain two themes I simplified the
design down to one.

Images load reliably now. The dynamic embedding failed in just
under 2% of loads. A refresh fixed it, but that is friction you
should not have to deal with, so images are now static.

Classical references are gone. Out of 2,318 displayed links, they
were clicked twice, so the section came out.

The game is gone. Across every version (V1 through V2) it was
played for about 28 minutes total, and the full V2 build, the one
with the map, the battle arenas for each subtopic, and the
spaced-repetition memory, got just over a minute. It clearly was
not what the site is for, and removing it was the right call. I
am still a little sad about it.
